And now finally Nepali movies are getting good space at OTT platform too. Yes, you read it right, Nepali movies are showing at OTT platform after around two months of theater release. This year’s blockbuster movies are being streaming at OTT platforms and audience who have missed to watch at theaters are enjoying at OTT platform.
Nepali movies are released on Nepali OTT platform. Two OTT platform are ruling at Nepal and they have tough competition on showing latest movies. NETTV and Cinemaghar are two major OTT platforms who are streaming the latest Nepali movies. Both of the apps are from Nepal and both are doing good at their field. Let’s talk in detail about these platform and how much will it costs to watch a movie.
NETTV : NETTV is one of the leading OTT platform of Nepal. NETTV has got wide number of latest released Nepali movies as well as they have Bollywood movies too. All the movies can be watched by paying per-pay-view. Bollywood movies and Nepali movies have different pricing.
NETTV also offers to watch on mobile app as well as on Television set too. They have their own setup box through which audience can watch the movie at Television by paying-per-view. Audience can become member at free of costs but they have to pay to watch every movie.
NETTV has recently released this year’s super hit movies ‘A Mero Hajur 4’ and ‘Dui Numbari’. Audience can watch a movie by paying Rs. 339. After paying the amount, you have to watch the movie within 24 hours. Most of the latest movies costs Rs. 339 and this price is for a single movie. You can watch on mobile app or on Television on the same costs.
Cinemaghar: Cinemaghar app was originally started by actress Reecha Sharma along with her team. But she couldn’t do proper marketing and later the app was acquired by a new team. In the new team, actor Khagendra Lamichhane is also involved. Cinemaghar has done rebranding and now they are doing well. They have acquired latest Nepali movies.
This year’s blockbuster movie Kabaddi 4 is streaming on Cinemaghar app since last week. Each movie at Cinemaghar costs Rs. 100 to Rs. 200 to watch. Cinemaghar has acquired critically appreciated movies and they have wide number of movies streaming. ‘Rato Tika Nidharma’, “Jay Bhole’, ‘Blind Rocks’ are some of the movies streaming at Cinemaghar.
You don’t have to pay to be member of Cinemaghar. You just have to pay per movie and you can watch the movie at their mobile app. Another special feature of Cinemaghar app is, you can earn coins too and you can watch movie by redeeming coins. Cinemaghar app has also included short movies and web series too. Cinemaghar has one week time to watch the movie after purchasing.
About payment modes, Cinemaghar app accepts international cards too whereas NETTV accepts only Nepali payment gateways till today.
There are other OTT platforms too that are built in Nepal but they have only one or two movies. So we haven’t included them as audience loves to watch latest released movies and only these two apps offers it.
