Deepak Raj Giri is travelling to different states of the United States along with his colleagues, Deepa Shree Niraula and Jitu Nepal, for performing at events. Deepak celebrated Dashain with his colleagues in the United States, and he was observing the box office business of Dashain-released Nepali movies very closely. His former associated partner Rohit Adhikari’s movie ‘Maitighar’ was also released on Dashain, and it is performing well at the box office.
This year for Dashain, three movies were released—Balidan, Maitighar, and Hari Bahadur Ko Jutta. And there was a high expectation from Balidan, as it featured Samir Bhatta in the lead role. Last year, Samir Bhatta’s debut movie, ’12 Gaun,’ turned out to be a blockbuster, which affected Deepak Raj Giri’s movie, ‘Chhakka Panja 5,’ at the box office. After CP5, Deepak Raj Giri didn’t rush to announce his next movie, as every year his team used to release their movie on Dashain. Deepak was in the mood of observing the box office report of Samir Bhatta with Balidan.
Santosh Sen’s directorial venture Balidan, featuring Samir Bhatta, is running at theaters in Nepal. Although Balidan is doing good business, it’s not as expected. The movie has slowed down within a week, which was not expected. The audience couldn’t be convinced with the action of Samir Bhatta this time. And with the slowdownof Balidan, Deepak Raj Giri has announced his next movie from the United States, and he also mentioned that his next movie will be released on the next Dashain.
Although Deepak Raj Giri has not revealed anything about the movie, he has mentioned on his social media that his team will be making the movie, which will be releasing on next year’s Dashain. As per Deepa Shree Niraula, this time they will not be making Chakka Panja. Deepak and Deepa’s team are working on a different story, and this time they will be roping in another director for the movie. Also, Jitu Nepal will also be joining their team on this project. After returning back from the USA, this team will work on the script. Jitu Nepal has also promised to join the team again. There is a high chance that Deepa Shree Niraula won’t be directing this time.
Deepak Raj Giri Vs Samir Bhatta on Dashain
Deepak Raj Giri is in the mood of clashing with Samir Bhatta on Dashain once again. Samir Bhatta, who confirmed a few days ago that he will be working on the sequel of ’12 Gaun,’ and it will be releasing on next year’s Dashain. Although director Biraj Bhatta has not officially announced the release date, Samir Bhatta has confirmed during an interaction with media that he will be working with his father, Biraj Bhatta, on the sequel. After that, Deepak Raj Giri has also announced his upcoming movie to be released on Dashain next year.
This will be the second time Deepak Raj Giri and Samir Bhatta will be clashing at the box office. Samir Bhatta’s debut movie was ’12 Gaun,’ and it clashed with ‘Chhakka Panja 5,’ and with negative reviews from critics, Samir’s debut movie turned out to be a blockbuster. Samir’s action and looks have convinced the audience to watch the movie. And the business of ’12 Gaun’ has affected the business of ‘Chhakka Panja 5’ badly.
Before flying to the USA, Deepak Raj Giri also shared his thoughts about the clash of ’12 Gaun’ and ‘Chhakka Panja 5’ with the media. Deepak said, ‘If there were not so many negative attacks on our movie, we would have done more business, as our movie has gotten a positive response from critics and audiences, but the “12 Gaun” team has cyberattacked us, which has affected our business to some extent.’
